What Causes Excessive Sweating?
Before we can learn what stops excessive sweating, we need to better understand how it starts in the first place.
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition where overactive sweat glands in the armpits produce much more sweat than what the body requires. We sweat in order to regulate our internal temperature; with hyperhidrosis, some sweat glands are constantly active, resulting in sweat that’s not proportionate to your activity (for example, excessively sweating while cold or inactive).
In order to stop excessive sweating, these overactive glands need to be treated – and that’s exactly where miraDry® comes in.
