How to Achieve a Lifted Look Without Surgery: The Best Injectable Treatments

Modern aesthetics offers advanced injectable options to enhance facial features and combat the signs of aging. Two primary categories of injectables—dermal fillers and neuromodulators—work synergistically to create a lifted, youthful appearance.

The Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers restore lost volume, contour the face, and provide structural support. Made of hyaluronic acid (HA) or other biocompatible substances, they add instant lift and smooth deep wrinkles.

Juvederm®: Known for its smooth consistency, Juvederm® provides natural-looking volume and lift, particularly in the cheeks and lips.

Restylane®: A versatile filler designed for volume restoration, facial contouring, and wrinkle reduction. It effectively treats areas like the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and under-eye hollows.

RHA® Collection: These next-generation fillers adapt to facial movements, ensuring a more natural appearance, even in dynamic areas such as around the mouth.

The Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators work by relaxing the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, creating a smoother, more youthful look.

Botox®: The most well-known neuromodulator, Botox®, effectively reduces crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines.

Dysport®:  A commonly utilized botulinum toxin well known for its excellent spreading, making it an ideal injection for forehead lines, it is a great alternative to Botox®.

Daxxify™: The longest-lasting neuromodulator, and the only one made in the U.S., newer Daxxify™ provides extended wrinkle reduction, lasting up to six months or more in many patients.  Its quick onset also makes it very popular.

Is There Any Downtime After Injectable Treatments?

Injectable treatments require little to no downtime, making them a convenient option for those with busy schedules. Most people resume normal activities the next day, though mild side effects such as swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site can occur. These typically resolve within a few days. To minimize bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications and alcohol before treatment.  At Krauss Dermatology, we are able to treat minor but inconvenient bruises the next day with our V-Beam laser to make them vanish rapidly.

Am I a Good Candidate for Injectable Treatments?

Injectables are ideal for individuals who want to enhance their facial contours, reduce wrinkles, and achieve a youthful lift without surgery. Good candidates include those with mild to moderate skin laxity, volume loss, or dynamic wrinkles. A consultation with an experienced provider at Krauss Dermatology ensures that treatments are tailored to your unique facial anatomy and aesthetic goals.  Only our board-certified Dermatologists perform injections at Krauss Dermatology for the greatest safety and most natural-looking results.

Non-surgical injectables offer a powerful way to refresh your appearance with natural-looking results. Whether you choose dermal fillers, neuromodulators, or a combination of both, these treatments provide an effective solution for achieving a lifted, youthful look without surgery.

Years ago, I had a dark spot on the back of my shoulder. Two dermatologists had looked at it, months apart. Both told me, don’t worry, it was nothing. One of the two was the Chief of Dermatology at a large Boston hospital. I asked Dr. Krauss, then a new resident to look at it. I told her it worried me, and she said it worried her too. She removed it and had it biopsied. It was a melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. She literally saved my life.
