Instead of the original single applicator, the CoolSculpting® Elite device has two body sculpting applicators. This means two areas can be treated at once in the same amount of time it took to treat a single area! How Does CoolSculpting® Elite Work?
CoolSculpting® Elite, a non-invasive body sculpting treatment, improves on the original device, using dual applicators that are larger and more efficient, and treat two areas of fat in the same amount of time. This dual applicator technology freezes and eliminates fat cells, reducing areas of stubborn fat by at least 20 to 25 percent with each session.

What is the Procedure Like?
A CoolSculpting® Elite applicator is applied to the selected treatment area. The applicator then selectively cools pockets of fat while leaving surrounding skin and muscle unharmed. At Krauss Dermatology, only board-certified dermatologists perform CoolSculpting® Elite treatments, unlike other medspas.

Is There Any Downtime or Side Effects?
Since CoolSculpting® Elite is a completely noninvasive treatment, no downtime is experienced. You still may experience mild side effects, such as tenderness, redness, or swelling but these symptoms will subside within a few days.
Long term side effects are very rare with Coolsculpting. Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH), a thickening of the treated area, has occurred historically in 1 of 4,000 treatments and was more common with the first generation device used up to 2016. The Cooladvantage handpiece introduced in late 2016 reduced the incidence by 1/3rd and squeezed the tissue much less, making the procedure more comfortable as well as safer. The new Cool Elite handpieces are gentler still despite better results, and there are no reported cases of PAH with this system.
