When Should I Start Cosmetic Treatment for My Wedding?
With so many things to think about in planning a wedding, it is no wonder that many brides and grooms think about cosmetic improvements at the last moment. Many of the best ways to make your complexion glow for your wedding can’t be done right before the big day. Here is our road map to looking your absolute best in time for your prenuptial events.
Goal 1: Smooth, even toned skin
In your 20s and 30s, sun damage from childhood through your foolish teens starts to show up as freckling, brown spots, fine lines and less than glowing texture. Fortunately there are safe, effective ways, with no downtime, that can reverse the damage and stall the aging process. A series of 4 Clear and Brilliant Laser treatments given 1 month apart are best performed during the fall or winter prior to your wedding. If your sun damage is more dramatic, or you are in your 40s or 50s, Intense Pulsed Light Photorejuvenation can turn back the clock without slowing you down.
Goal 2: Don’t look angry or tired
Furrows between the eyebrows start to form early on in our lives, making us look worried or angry. These get deeper and deeper over time in both men and women. Botox administered by an expert board certified dermatologist at Krauss Dermatology can relax this area, making your eyes look bigger and brighter, and preventing furrows from developing in the future. In addition, Botox can smooth the crows feet to give you a crinkle-free smile. The best time to have Botox is 1-2 months prior to your wedding. But wisely try it on for size the first time at least 6 months in advance as well to make sure you get the best result.
If you have ever considered subtly plumping your lips or smoothing smile lines (nasolabial folds) around the mouth, hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvedermare the way to go. Safe, effective and even reversible, they are the ideal way to enhance your appearance. Filler can also be used to slightly lift and enhance your cheeks for that amazing contour. Make sure you have your filler done at least 1 to 2 months before your nuptials so they look and feel completely natural during your busy wedding season.
Goal 4: Get rid of the muffin top and that annoying bra fat
Eliminate that little pooch of fat and that stubborn bulge that your insane pre-wedding diet didn’t do! Brides and grooms can freeze the fat away with Coolsculpting or the newest in fat reduction and muscle definition Emsculpt. Start either of these painless, nonsurgical body sculpting treatments at least 3-4 months before the wedding to be photo ready.
