Meet Dr. Amanda Auerbach

Dr. Auerbach is a board certified dermatologist with additional specialty board certification in Mohs micrographic surgery. She has a special interest in melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, aesthetic reconstructive techniques, and nail procedures. She also performs cosmetic removal of benign growths such as moles, cysts and lipomas.

Dr. Auerbach completed her dermatology residency and fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at UMass Memorial Hospital, where she was appointed chief resident.

She also completed a dermatology research fellowship at Massachusetts General hospital. Dr. Auerbach earned her medical degree from the University at Buffalo, where she received the Gold Humanism and Leonard Tow Awards for excellence in patient care. She graduated from Colby College with a BA in biology and art.

Dr. Auerbach has worked as a Mohs surgeon in private practice in the Boston area since 2015 and was an Assistant Professor at UMass Memorial Medical Center, teaching medical students, residents, and Mohs fellows. She worked there as part of the cutaneous oncology tumor board coordinating multidisciplinary care for complex skin cancers. She currently serves as a consultant on staff at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Dr. Auerbach joined Krauss Dermatology with the goal of providing patient centered compassionate care and superior cosmetic outcomes for patients undergoing skin cancer removal. Her calm, reassuring manner puts patients at ease and she performs meticulous reconstructions to minimize scarring.

Outside of the office, she spends her time with her husband and 3 children. They enjoy travelling, exploring new restaurants, and skiing in the Berkshires.
