Fraxel FTX® Laser
Are you looking for clearer, younger-looking skin that glows from within?
Are you ready to transform your skin with the most advanced laser technology available? The Fraxel FTX® laser system offers enhanced customization to treat hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, signs of aging, and more. The cult-favorite laser skin rejuvenation system is better than ever!
How Does Fraxel FTX® Work?
The Fraxel FTX® is a non-ablative laser that is able to address discoloration, age spots, acne scars, fine lines, and textural irregularities.
When compared to older models, this advanced device creates more treatment areas in the skin by treating in two planes at once, resulting in increased collagen production. As an added bonus, it’s faster, and its AccuTRAC Optical Tracking System keeps your skin cooler for an overall easier experience.
A 1550 nm wavelength laser is used for deeper concerns such as fine lines, acne scars, and textural irregularities, while a 1927 nm wavelength addresses more superficial concerns, including pigmentation and certain pigmented lesions.
Am I a Good Candidate for Fraxel®?
You’re a good candidate for the Fraxel FTX® laser if you have significant discoloration or textural issues in your complexion, like sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and more.

How Long Does a Typical Fraxel FTX® Treatment Take?
The Fraxel FTX® procedure takes about 30-45 minutes to perform by our board-certified dermatologists. For color improvement, we recommend 1-3 treatments spaced no more frequently than 4 weeks apart. For fine lines, textural irregularities and acne scarring, 3-5 treatments spaced at least 4 weeks apart are recommended. Improvement in discoloration can be seen 3-4 weeks after treatment. Improvement in texture is more gradual and may be best assessed 6 months after treatment.
What Results Will I See With Fraxel FTX®?*
The best way to maintain results is to protect the skin from the sun. One or two Fraxel FTX® treatments per year are helpful in some patients to keep brown spots and fine lines at bay. At-home medical-grade skincare may also help maintain the beneficial effects of treatment.

Is There Any Downtime?
Fraxel FTX® is a fractional laser, which means it creates microscopic treatment areas surrounded by untreated skin. As a result, healing is much faster than with many other lasers.
Redness and swelling after each treatment are expected for 1-3 days. After more intensive treatments, you may notice peeling for 5-7 days. Greater swelling occurs in the lower lids when the eye area is treated. More serious side effects are rare, but most can be avoided by proper sun avoidance before and after the procedure and following the post-procedure instructions.
