Pre-Treatment Instructions:

1. DO protect your skin from the sun for 4 weeks prior to the treatment. This is best accomplished by using SPF30+ sunscreen daily (preferably containing titanium dioxide or zinc oxide) and a hat worn during times of greater exposure to the sun’s rays. We cannot treat over any dark tan or sunburned areas as this can result in darkening or lightening of the skin.
2. To avoid excess irritation, you may want to consider stopping all retinoids, glycolic/lactic acids, lightening creams for two days prior to the procedure.
3. Your physician may also give you a prescription for Valtrex which you should take prior to and after your treatment if you have a history of cold sores. Note: We cannot treat if you have an active infection or cold sore.
