How Does JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC Work?

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is a dermal filler that contains a hyaluronic acid gel designed to plump up nasolabial folds and marionette lines without giving an artificial appearance to the mouth. This gel acts like scaffolding around the nose and mouth to provide structure and lift while filling in the folds. The thick hyaluronic acid gel maintains this lift and encourages collagen production by your skin’s fibroblast cells for long-lasting results.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

A typical JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC injection takes about 15 to 20 minutes to perform by our board-certified dermatologists. You may be provided with numbing cream or ice packs to help keep you comfortable during the procedure. Techniques utilizing both needle and cannula can be utilized to obtain the best results for each patient.

What Results Will I See?*

Some patients can see results within one to two days, but you should expect your final results to become visible about one week after your JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC injection. Once you see these results, you can expect them to last anywhere from six to twelve months.

Is There Any Downtime?

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC requires very little downtime, but your skin might appear a bit bruised and swollen at the injection site. These side effects usually fade about one week after your treatment. Our office is committed to minimizing your downtime. We use the VBeam vascular laser to make bruises disappear quickly and easily.
