How Ultherapy Works
Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to create tiny areas of thermal injury to the deep layers of your subcutaneous tissue as well as the dermal layer of your skin. When this happens, it stimulates the production of new collagen and tightens the “SMAS” muscular and fascial layer under the skin. While ultherapy is known to lift the lower face, jawline, and neck, it can also do wonders for the decolletage. You can expect an average Ultherapy treatment to last anywhere between 60 and 90 minutes. Fortunately, the treatment is completely safe and well-tolerated particularly with our use of Pro-Nox, our nitrous oxide and oxygen blend that you can inhale as needed during the procedure for discomfort and anxiety.
Once you receive a treatment, it’ll take about 5 to 6 months for you to notice complete results. Here’s why: Your body will slowly but surely stimulate new collagen and lift your skin and underlying tissue. While Ultherapy does not stop the natural process of aging, it does lead to long-lasting results, turning back the clock. If you believe the results have worn off, we encourage you to return to our office for additional treatments. You may repeat the procedure after a year or more if the additional improvement is desired. Many patients find treatment every 3-5 years helpful in defying the aging process.
