With Skinvive™ by Juvederm®, you can! Unlike other Juvederm® products, Skinvive™ is not a traditional filler. It’s a hyaluronic acid injection that infuses your skin with long-lasting moisture. How Does Skinvive™ by Juvederm® Work?

Like popular dermal fillers by Juvederm® and Restylane®, Skinvive™ is an injectable gel made with hyaluronic acid. Fillers are used to add volume to contour the face or smooth out wrinkles. Skinvive™, on the other hand, hydrates and smooths the skin with microdroplets of hyaluronic acid without overly puffing or adding volume. It creates a more youthful, soft, supple skin texture that feels wonderfully moisturized. You will see and feel the difference.

During a Skinvive™ treatment at Krauss Dermatology, your provider will make small injections in a grid pattern beneath the skin in the cheek to jawline area. The Skinvive™ HA formula then diffuses for an even dispersion.

Am I a Good Candidate for Skinvive™ by Juvederm®?

Skinvive™ nourishes your skin for improved tone and texture. Almost anyone can benefit from the treatment for softer, more radiant skin. It may be especially beneficial for patients with dry skin, a dull complexion, rough skin texture, or fine lines. Patients in their 30s to 60s with mild to moderate photodamage generally appreciate their results more than those with severe sun damage in their 70s and 80s. Skinvive™ by Juvederm® is safe for all skin types and tones.

Patients who are concerned about volume loss or significant wrinkles may require a different treatment for best results. Your provider may recommend a customized treatment with multiple injectables, such as Skinvive™, dermal fillers, or neuromodulators like Botox® for your unique needs. Your dermatologist at Krauss Dermatology will evaluate your skin and goals to help you find the best treatment plan.

How Long Does a Typical Skinvive™ Treatment Take?

Like most injectable treatments, Skinvive™ is fast, simple, and easy to fit into a busy schedule. A typical Skinvive™ Juvederm® treatment takes 15-20 minutes. If you are receiving other treatments at the same time, it may take longer. All injections are performed by one of the board-certified dermatologists at Krauss Dermatology. If needed, we can use ice or numbing cream to help you feel comfortable during the injections.

What Results Will I See From Skinvive™ by Juvederm®?

Patients often see rapid benefits from Skinvive™ injections as the hyaluronic acid nourishes the skin. You can expect your skin to gradually become smoother and more radiant, with full results within 30 days.

The results of Skinvive™ by Juvederm® last approximately six months or longer. You can receive maintenance injections as needed, and ongoing treatments can have an even greater effect on your skin health. Skinvive™ by Juvederm® can help minimize and prevent signs of aging by keeping your skin healthy and hydrated.

Is There Any Downtime After Skinvive™ by Juvederm®?

Part of what makes injectables like Skinvive™ so convenient is the lack of downtime. You will be able to resume your usual routine immediately after your appointment though we recommend waiting until the following day for vigorous exercise. Though there is no downtime, patients may have minor bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection sites. Any minor side effects should subside within a couple of days. Additionally, Krauss Dermatology has state-of-the-art laser technology that can help resolve bruising quickly, allowing you to return to your social life right away.
