Dermal fillers give dermatologists a tool for contouring and smoothing your features. Juvederm® ranks among the most popular dermal fillers. It treats a wide range of lines, wrinkles, and volume loss to help you achieve a more youthful appearance.  It is very safe and even reversible!

What is Juvederm®?

Juvederm® is a family of dermal fillers used to smooth lines and wrinkles, replace lost volume, and enhance your features. Juvederm® uses hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring molecule vital in keeping your skin hydrated. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers plump and smooth the skin by attracting and holding moisture as well as creating volume.

How Much Does Juvederm® Cost?

Prices for Juvederm® are often listed as the cost per syringe, but some people will need more than one syringe. The size of the treatment area and how much filler you need to achieve your desired results will affect how much Juvederm® your treatment requires.

The national average cost for Juvederm® is $750 per treatment session. Juvederm® prices are affected by where you live and your provider’s skill and experience. At Krauss Dermatology, all our dermal filler injections are carried out by dermatologists with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy. During your visit the price of your first syringe would be $675 for Juvederm Ultra or Ultra Plus, or Juvederm Volbella for lip lines, or up to $975 for the longest lasting cheek and jawline enhancer Voluma.  Your second (and 3rd) syringe are discounted by $100 per syringe.  By joining the Alle program by Juvederm’s manufacturer, Allergan, you can save further.

Which Juvederm® Dermal Filler Should I Get?

Dermatologists enjoy the range of options that Juvederm® offers, letting them select the best one for each area of the face. The Juvederm® family of dermal fillers includes:

  • Juvederm® Voluma for mid-face volume and enhancing the cheeks and jawline
  • Juvederm® Volbella for lines around the mouth and subtle lip enhancement
  • Juvederm® Ultra XC restores volume to thin lips and softens lines around the mouth, marionette area and nasolabial folds (line from corner of nose to end of lip)
  • Juvederm® Ultra Plus XC for deeper lines such as marionette lines or nasolabial folds or more subtle cheek and jawline volume

How Long Does Juvederm® Last?

Different Juvederm® products have different lifespans. Fillers designed for deep lines and wrinkles or volume in the cheeks require a thicker, more resilient formula. Those used around the lips and mouth must have greater flexibility and smoothness. Juvederm® fillers can last between six months and two years, depending on the product

Is There Any Downtime After Juvederm®?

Juvederm® injections often take less than thirty minutes. You can return to your regular activities immediately but will want to wait until the next day to vigorously exercise. You might notice some minor bruising or swelling in the injection area. These will go away within a few days.  We even offer a no cost treatment the next day with a vascular laser to accelerate the resolution of any bruise that may result from your treatment. Hyaluronic acid is a safe and widely used dermal filler material with minimal risk of side effects and can even be reversed with a simple injection.
