What Does UltraClear® Do?

You may have heard about the variety of laser treatments available for facial skin rejuvenation. Most of them have one thing in common: they use heat created by the laser pulse to achieve their results. UltraClear® is a cold fiber laser that provides dramatic results with less recovery time than traditional CO2 or Erbium laser procedures. This procedure can address concerns such as hyperpigmentation, acne scars, sun damage, poor texture and signs of aging. 

What is UltraClear®?

UltraClear® is an ablative cold fiber laser. Pulses of laser energy create tiny openings in your skin without generating large amounts of heat. These areas of controlled damage trigger a healing response that increases collagen production. It also stimulates skin renewal to eliminate dull, damaged cells and restore a smooth surface. 

What Does UltraClear® Do?

The UltraClear® uses a cold fiber laser delivery system that operates at a wavelength of 2910 nm delivered in rapidly moving tiny pulses. This innovative platform moves rapidly over the skin, greatly reducing discomfort and the risk of side effects from heat buildup see in older generation resurfacing procedures. UltraClear® can treat concerns including:

• Dullness
• Age spots
• Sun damage
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Acne scars
• Enlarged pores
• Uneven texture

Because it triggers new collagen formation, UltraClear® firms and smooths the skin. It also eliminates damaged outer layers of cells to reveal clear, undamaged skin. UltraClear® can treat discoloration, fine wrinkles and scars with less downtime than a traditional resurfacing laser. Depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment and whether just superficial or superficial and deep modes are used, downtime is anywhere from 3 to 7 days with minimal discomfort.  The procedure is customized to your goals and your ability to take days off from socializing and in person work.

What Does UltraClear® Feel Like?

The lack of heat buildup makes UltraClear® one of the most comfortable laser treatments available. For the most superficial type of treatment for brightening and glow, the “3DMiracl,” most patients report minimal discomfort even without numbing. A powerful numbing cream applied in office will prevent you from feeling pain even with the deeper superficial plus deep transformative treatment. Your session can take as little as fifteen minutes. Your treatment may target problem areas or address the entire face. UltraClear® is a highly customizable treatment, so your session may be more or less intense. 

Is There Any Downtime With UltraClear®?

The downtime after UltraClear® depends on the intensity of your treatment. When used to address surface issues, you may only need two to three days 

of downtime before your skin looks smooth and even-toned. You will often prefer to avoid social activities for five to seven days after a deeper treatment. You may experience redness, swelling, and sensitivity, but these will fade quickly. You must avoid sun exposure, and use sunscreen while your skin fully heals and in the weeks to months following to preserve your wonderful results. 

What Results Will I See With UltraClear®?

Many people see brighter, smoother skin after a single superficial UltraClear® treatment and improvement in fine lines and discoloration with superficial and deep combination treatment. Some patients benefit from two to three treatments for optimum results. Your increased collagen production can last a year or more, and many people benefit from occasional maintenance treatments to keep their skin firm, even and glowing. People who have UltraClear® have less risk of post-treatment pigmentation issues or thermal damage than those who have a traditional laser resurfacing.
