Dermal fillers let you fight signs of aging with no surgical procedures. At Krauss Dermatology, we offer the Juvederm® family of fillers as well as others. These fillers excel at treating deep lines and wrinkles, restoring facial volume, and contouring your features.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers can add volume almost anywhere on the face to fight signs of aging. They can treat deep lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Other fillers can restore lost volume in the cheeks or give you plumper, fuller lips. All dermal fillers are made of biologically safe materials.
What is Juvederm® Made Of?
The Juvederm® products use a molecule called hyaluronic acid (HA). This molecule pulls moisture into the skin and holds it there. Since HA occurs naturally in your skin, your body usually does not react to it. HA is one of the most popular dermal filler materials. It can contains cross-links that determine its density and thickness. Juvederm® fillers each use a different formula to work in different parts of the face.
Which Juvederm® Dermal Filler is Right for Me?
Your Krauss Dermatology board-certified dermatologist will determine the best Juvederm® products for your needs. The Juvederm® family of fillers includes:
- Juvederm® Voluma adds volume and contour to the cheeks, chin, and jawline
- Juvederm® Volbella smooths lines around the mouth and defines the lips
- Juvederm® Ultra XC adds lip volume and erases lines around the lips
- Juvederm® Ultra Plus XC treats deep lines and wrinkles such as nasolabial folds
What Results Will I See With Dermal Fillers?
You may see results immediately after your treatment, but they can take a day or two to develop completely. Juvederm® results usually last between six and twenty four months depending on the type, location used, and individual patient. Fillers in highly mobile areas, such as the lips, often fade faster than firmer fillers in the cheek area. Your dermatologist will discuss how often you can expect to have touch-up treatments.
How Much Does Juvederm® Cost?
Prices for dermal fillers vary between locations and providers. At Krauss Dermatology, we provide transparent pricing, so you know what to expect. The cost of Juvederm® ranges from $675 to $975, depending on the filler. You will receive $100 off the original price for each additional syringe if you need more than one syringe. You can also take advantage of Alle, the bonus point program from the manufacturer of Juvederm®.
Is There Any Downtime With Juvederm® Dermal Fillers?
You might notice some minor bruising or swelling after your injections. You can return to all your usual activities after treatment however we ask that you save vigorous exercise until the next day. It is also important to avoid filler injections within 2 weeks of dental work and vaccinations to minimize inflammatory reactions.
